"Still Dr. Kay!"
I so cannot articulate any better, my acquired disdain for New Year resolutions. I mean, I get the idea and overall desire to appropriate the newness of a virginal year; one not quite inundated with issues. But can I not set goals without the agony and guilt of anticipatory failure? Resolutions somehow work against us, in that they remind us of past commitments gone south. This year, I will not resolve my fitness struggles, nor will I hesitate in pursuing that which Spirit admonishes. I will stop being so overly cautious, thereby resigning myself from the possibilities of true meaningful relationships (business or other). What I will do, however, is keep silent and put into action the ideals and ideas long entertained. In other words, this year, I aim to be about "IT." This, is NOT a resolution, but rather a realization of that which is so very real, for me.
